  • Design. I was really pleased with the overall design and cut of this one-piece. It has a square neckline and a low back, which made me feel sexy without being too revealing. The coverage was so good, in fact, that I actually wore this as a bodysuit on a night out with white jeans and strappy heels. Its simple design made it much more versatile than my other one-pieces that scream “swim.” I also Loved (with a capital L) the royal blue color. Luckily for me, it was the perfect shade of blue to celebrate a Knicks’ win in New York.

  • Fit. The suit is small and condensed. However, it's extremely stretchy. I had no problem fitting into it as a size 12 with a 36DDD cup. The seams didn’t dig into my skin at all and the straps were thick and strong. I do wish there was a bit of boning or a small underwire for added support. I didn’t wear a bra when I wore it as a top and I had to readjust from time to time.

  • Material. The stretchy material is great quality for a one-size-fits-all piece. It’s durable and holds up in terms of color, shape, and size, even after two washes (though I did hang it to dry). My one concern was that, when worn, the material did stretch out to be ever-so-slightly translucent. Nothing was totally visible, but it made me think twice about wearing it out again without a bra.

  • Design. This is one of the more unique suits I’ve tried. The cut was nice and I liked the metallic piece in the front. It adds a nice touch when swimsuits can often be boring-looking, so long as you can get it to sit straight (but more on that later).

  • Fit. One of the first things I noticed was how stretchy this material is. It helped quell my skepticism surrounding one-size-fits-all products. However, while I really wanted to love this swimsuit, it simply didn't fit me well. Specifically, the top. The bottom stretched enough to where I felt comfortable down south, but the band at the top did not have the same amount of stretch, which seemed odd to me. I’m a C/D cup size and I felt more squeezed at the top and felt like it cut in an unflattering way around my chest and back. Because of this, the gold piece on the top didn’t sit straight. It buckled and hung slanted, which I hated since it’s so eye-catching. Also, while the straps are removable, they are not adjustable, which feels like a miss to me. In 2026, I believe all swimsuit straps should be adjustable and not dig, like these did. All in all, I feel as though the suit might work better for smaller bodies.

  • Material. I really liked the suit’s elastic ribbed material. It’s insanely stretchy, and small when not worn, so it’s easy to throw in a suitcase or an overnight bag. That being said, the suit doesn’t have any compression whatsoever, so I didn’t feel hugged or slimmed. I wish it had more support here because that helps me feel more covered and secure when hitting the pool or beach.

  • Price. At $70, I must say I like the price. It feels more mid-tier right now for swimwear, as most one-pieces can easily go for under $100, which feels crazy to me.

  • Fit: Out of the box, these pieces were teeny-tiny and looked like shrink-wrapped doll clothes — I’m petite, but I was still skeptical about whether these things would actually fit me. Joke was on me, because this is literally the stretchiest material I’ve ever encountered. Both the top and the bottom molded to my body perfectly.

  • Cut: The top gets a 10/10 from me. The pullover style is much less fussy than a string bikini top with ties, and the material has a hug-like compression that feels supportive but doesn’t flatten your boobs. The same cannot be said of the bottoms. These are very high-cut — like, the kinds of bottoms all the girls on Love Island wear that make you wonder how they’re not constantly paranoid about a devastating public wardrobe malfunction. I don’t tend to shy away from showing skin, but this cut felt excessive to me. I certainly wouldn’t wear it in front of my family…or pretty much anyone else. Hence why I solely wore this bikini around my apartment (in the name of science).

  • Material: The material is wildly stretchy, but it’s not the softest thing I’ve ever worn. I tend to be sensitive to itchy/scratchy sensations, so after about an hour of wear, I was overly aware of how the seams (especially along the waistband and straps) were rubbing against my skin and had to take this off.

  • Aesthetic: Despite my misgivings about the cut, this bikini is gorgeous. I got the blue-green color — a deep, rich turquoise that would look beautiful on any skin tone — and I love the hints of silver threaded throughout that would look stunning in the sunlight. I especially love the top’s U-shaped neckline with its jewelry-like silver hardware. In another lifetime, I probably would’ve worn it as a going-out top.

Sidenotes...

  • Care. All of these swimsuits are machine-washable (on a low or delicates setting) and should be laid out to dry. They do not recommend tumble-drying or dry-cleaning.

  • Women-focused history. Etam started off as a corsetier in 1916 and has since grown. By the 1960s, they revolutionized the lingerie industry by using cotton as a comfortable, lightweight material for women’s undergarments. They introduced swimwear to their collection in 1969, and launched eco-friendly lace for lingerie, plus a post-mastectomy bra line in 2020.
