Between the cost of goods getting more and more expensive, and the Abbey Yung Method going viral, drugstore beauty is having a moment. And while I think that it never really left, it felt like social media and the beauty industry alike were skewing towards more premium, expensive brands over the last five years. If you’re looking for a drugstore overhaul, our editors are sharing the 19 drugstore products they’ve repurchased time and time again.

A cheap lip balm for sensitive lips…
I’m allergic to lanolin, so I can’t use Aquaphor without my skin becoming drier and scalier than it was before. Vaseline’s Lip Therapy is fragrance-free, and made with vitamin E and petroleum jelly. I keep one on my bedside table and one in my bag. (Unknown, Amazon)

A body cream our Senior Writer loves…
This eczema relief cream can be used on your hands and body. Because it has colloidal oatmeal, it’ll soothe dryness, irritation, and any eczema flare-ups. It’s hydrating without feeling greasy. (Unknown, Amazon)

An exfoliant for acne-prone skin…
PanOxyl really takes us back to our high school days. Our Senior Commerce Editor loves this exfoliator for its clever formula. It has the texture of a toner or an essence (while being packed with salicylic acid and BHA). Because it’s so lightweight, you can swipe it on with your hands or a cotton pad, and let it do its work overnight. (Unknown, Amazon)

The magical body lotion that’s deeply underrated…
AmLactin really is that girl. The lactic acid-based body lotion is the perfect all-around body cream, especially if you deal with keratosis pilaris. It’ll gently exfoliate and slough away dead skin over time, and we love to use it on our heels before bed. (Unknown, Amazon)

A basic cleanser that feels luxurious…
Is it really a trip to the drugstore if you don’t check out some La Roche-Posay? This creamy cleanser has niacinamide to minimize redness, without stripping your skin. It’ll gently cleanse, getting rid of dirt and oils. If you’re wearing makeup, we like this as a second cleanse. (Unknown, Amazon)

A peel-off lip liner that’s all the rage right now…
Just apply it to the perimeter of your lips. It’ll dry down and then you can peel the residue away for a stained lip liner that’ll last all day. Our Data Analyst gave it a try and can confirm it’s worth its hype — she raves about its 10 versatile shades. (Unknown, Amazon)

Some lip balms that feel nostalgic…
While we’ve sworn by Starface for its star-shaped pimple patches, the brand recently launched these Star Balms. On top of the packaging being bright and easy to spot in your bag, they have a nostalgic feel. If you had a collection of Maybelline Baby Lips back in the day, you’ll love these. (Unknown, Amazon)

A body lotion that provides some serious glow…
If you’re looking for a no-frills, hydrating option to apply before events, this one from Vaseline is it. It’s made with cocoa butter and vitamin B3, and our Senior Affiliate Manager claims that it provides luminosity and glow to her skin that photographs well. I’m eyeing it for my wedding to apply to my shoulders with a little bit of highlighter. ($7.98, Walmart)

A bodywash that’s spray-tan approved…
Our Senior Affiliate Manager started buying this bodywash when the person who applies her spray tans said it’s great for preserving them. It’s sulfate-, paraben-, and dye-free, and the coconut and vanilla notes make her feel like she’s on vacation every time she uses it. (Unknown, Amazon)

A solid dupe for Glossier Boy Brow…
Back in December, I packed for nearly a month away from home during the holidays, and forgot my brow gel. Because I didn’t want to spend another $22 on a replacement, I ran to the nearest Walgreens and quickly grabbed CoverGirl’s Clean Fresh Brow Gel. I didn’t put much thought into the purchase, aside from the fact that it was in stock and around $9. But when I officially gave it a try, I quickly realized that I made a glorious discovery: it’s basically a dupe for Glossier’s Boy Brow. Like Boy Brow, it keeps my brows set while giving them volume and flexibility, without flaking or crunchiness. Consider me converted. (Unknown, Amazon)

A lip oil under $10…
Our editor claims that this makes her lips look juicy and plump, without the stinging that comes with traditional plumping glosses on the market. It’s an oil-gloss hybrid, isn’t sticky, and provides up to 12 hours of hydration. Our editor loves that she can “drink a margarita and not need to reapply,” which is a win in our books. Pick from 14 shades. (Unknown, Amazon)

An anti-dandruff shampoo that keeps itchiness at bay…
My scalp is prone to dryness, tightness, and itchiness, but the one thing that’s helped is Nizoral. The ketoconazole-based shampoo controls the fungus that causes dandruff and is safe to use on color-treated hair. I apply it directly to my roots and scalp and let it sit for a minute or two, then rinse. I love that the scent is minimal, clean, and doesn’t linger, too. (Unknown, Amazon)

An irritant-free, unscented cream you can use all over…
I use CeraVe’s Moisturizing Cream for just about everything. It’s a thick, heavy cream that’s fragrance- and irritant-free. It’s the one multipurpose cream I use on my face, body, and hands, and it always seems to calm my skin down if it’s red and irritated. Pro tip: Apply on slightly damp skin to get the best results. (Unknown, Amazon)

The Pantene shampoo that’s back in the spotlight…
All thanks to Abbey Yung, Pantene’s Sheer Volume is going viral. If you’re looking for a clarifying shampoo that’ll make your hair truly feel clean without drying it out, this is the way to go. I use it once a week to get a deep clean and I love the volume it provides as a byproduct. (Unknown, Amazon)

A travel razor that doesn’t require shaving cream…
Schick’s razors are great because the thick bands of moisture mean you can just add water to shave. Now, the brand has launched a mini version of its bestselling Hydro Silk Razor. Plus, it comes with a compact carrying case that doubles as a razor stand. (Unknown, Amazon)

The easiest way to take Aquaphor on the go…
For our editors who swear by Aquaphor, this stick version takes the emotional support product to the next level. You can apply it all over without having to use your fingers. Consider it the best giant lip balm of all time. And if you’re allergic like me, there’s a Vaseline version, too. (Unknown, Amazon)

A mascara that’s a classic for a reason…
Maybelline Great Lash for life. This mascara provides natural definition that’s perfect for everyday wear. It’s the one drugstore mascara that doesn’t irritate my hyper-sensitive eyes. Not to mention, I love its range of shades, including this brownish-black option. I always use a lash curler before I apply it. (Unknown, Amazon)

A drugstore alternative to L’Occitane…
Naturium’s The Glow Getter is the closest alternative I’ve been able to find for L’Occitane’s Almond Shower Oil. It has an oil-to-gel texture that lathers nicely, with the same almond and vanilla notes that L’Occitane’s has. It works as a shaving gel, too. (Unknown, Amazon)

A basic bar of soap…
Sometimes, I just want a no-frills option for the shower that won’t leave my skin feeling tight. This sensitive Dove bar is just that. It’s creamy, hydrating, and somehow always feels luxurious to me. It hardly has a scent, just Dove’s classic clean smell, but how inexpensive it is makes me love it the most. (Unknown, Amazon)
