A couple years ago, I wrote about a hand soap that has “reached cult status in my household,” my household consisting of me. But it sparked the idea to share products that our editors consider to be cult status, even if it’s just among ourselves. These are items that we’ve been using for years and will continue to use forever. And we’re sharing them with you. Join our cult.

bra
Nordstrom

The only bra we wear now…

“After putting it off for years, I finally got re-measured for bras to confirm my size was still correct (go do it if you haven't already), and then decided to invest in some new ones. Like Skimm'rs, I've always been a Natori girl. They're some of the most comfortable wired bras out there and they last for years. I recently bought a couple of these Understated Underwire T-Shirt Bras and they're officially a hall-of-famer style for me. They're made with Natori's soft cups and rub-free bands, and the extra-skinny straps mean I can wear it underneath tank tops without them peeking through. It's the only bra I've worn the last five months.” —Margo Ghertner ($70, Natori)

mouthwash
Amazon

A mouthwash that actually makes a difference on canker sores…

“For reasons unknown, I am someone who tends to get painful canker sores when I’m stressed. You know what stresses me out even more? The thought of getting one and not being able to do anything about it. That’s where this mouthwash comes in. It has 1.5% hydrogen peroxide that works to soothe and keep it clean. You can use it up to four times a day, so I’ll rinse after every meal and at night. Nothing seems to work on an angry, irritated canker sore quite like this. FYI, if you want a little extra healing while you sleep, use this.” —Martha Upton (Unknown, Amazon)

rise
Amazon

A protein bar with very few ingredients…

“I am a snacker; I have to eat something between lunch and dinner or I’ll hit an afternoon slump. It seems like I’ve tried every protein bar under the sun with no luck finding one without artificial sweeteners. I discovered these recently and love that the ingredients can fit on one line; it’s just almonds, honey, and whey protein. Plus, 18 grams of protein is more than enough to fuel me through my evening workout. They don’t taste like candy bars, but they taste good enough for me to get excited about snack time.” —Martha Upton (Unknown, Amazon)

moleskine
Amazon

The notebook we always go back to…

“The journaling craze is alive and well, and my mental health is the better for it. When it was time for me to buy my next one, I decided to turn back to my tried-and-true: a classic softcover Moleskine. And let me tell you, nothing hits quite like it. I've been reaching for mine every day because of its smooth paper quality, compact size, and how it lies flat. And because it isn't too thick (it has about 192 pages), it isn't intimidating to use up. Let's go back to the basics, people.” —Margo Ghertner (Unknown, Amazon)

acne-treatment
Renee Rouleau

A tried-and-true acne treatment…

“I’ve come a long way with my skin, which is something I am truly proud of. However, I still fall victim to the clogged pore or cystic bump. And even with everything I do for my skin (derm-level skincare, red light, exfoliation, etc.), I don’t think I’ll ever be able to avoid the occasional pimple. When I do feel something cystic coming on, I immediately turn to Renee Rouleau’s Anti-Bump Solution. It’s incredibly gentle on my skin and works wonders overnight. My skin has never reacted to it; it’s never caused redness or dryness — it only works quickly to diminish cystic bumps within a couple of days. I also use it on whiteheads post-pus removal to clear up the leftover bump, and it works just as well. I know it’s pricey, but it lasts me a long time and is one of the few things I fully trust when it comes to breakouts. If I travel, it’s one of those must-haves I keep on me.”  —Alexandra Napoli ($49.50, Renee Rouleau)

earbuds
Ozlo

A pair of earbuds that help us sleep peacefully…

“As I’ve gotten older, I’ve become more of a side-sleeper. In addition to that, I moved into an apartment last year that is warm year-round, which is my nightmare when it comes to sleeping conditions. My boyfriend insists we keep the AC on, even in the winter. Put all of this together, and our bedroom is way noisier at night due to the AC. I started wearing earbuds a while ago, but struggled to find ones that were comfortable while side-sleeping and didn’t consistently fall out by morning. When Ozlo entered my life, I was skeptical at best, but their sleepbuds block out noise and act as a battery-powered earbud so I can play white noise to fall asleep to. They’re also the only earbud that lies flat when my head is against my pillow. TL:DR, I’m obsessed with them. I keep them in my nightstand, travel with them, and feel a bit of anxiety when I see they’re low-battery and I haven’t charged them in time for bed. Right now, they’re on sale, and I recently found out you can use HSA/FSA dollars to purchase.” —Alexandra Napoli ($274, Ozlo)

eye-cream
Amazon

An eye cream that’s a permanent part of our routine…

“Eye creams are one of the trickier skincare products to get right. So when I discovered this one from La Roche-Posay many years ago, I never let it go. It has a fluid, hydrating texture that’s not so flimsy that it leaves my under-eyes and lids feeling dried-out a couple hours into the day (a common problem with the majority of lightweight eye creams I’ve tried in the past) — but not so heavy that my lids feel uncomfortably greasy. It’s gentle on my sensitive skin, as is the case with everything from the Toleriane line, and doesn’t pill under concealer. I live in fear of this being discontinued, so I always buy it in multiples.” —Caroline Goldstein (Unknown, Amazon)

headphones
Bose

A pair of headphones that are worth the investment…

“After using my dad’s old noise-cancelling headphones for an actual decade, I figured it was time to invest in a pair of my own. I’d hemmed and hawed about getting these because they are not cheap, but now, they’re by far my most-used piece of tech and truly an emotional support item. They fit my tiny head quite well, and the padding along the band and ears is super comfortable — even when I wear them for hours at a time, I don’t get a headache. The noise cancelling is so good at blocking out ambient sounds that it has literally caused problems in my relationship, because I can’t hear when my boyfriend is calling to me from another room (sorry, love you). The sound quality is crystal-clear. I most often wear them to listen to podcasts while doing boring chores around the house. But I really rely on the noise-cancelling component while writing, without even listening to anything. It drops me right into that place of deep focus and helps me quiet the inner chatter.” —Caroline Goldstein ($359, Bose)

slippers
DSW

A pair of slippers that are just as comfortable as more expensive ones…

“These Bearpaw slippers are just as plush and cozy as other brands, come in a pretty light brown, and are treated so they’re rain- and stain-repellent. They’re so warm (coming from someone with perpetually cold feet) and have looked brand-new for the past three months I’ve been wearing them. This one is almost sold out, but this style is pretty similar.” —Martha Upton ($74.99, DSW)

cookies
Last Crumb

Cookie boxes that would make a nice gift…

“It’s not often that a food or snack reaches cult status for me beyond my tried-and-true 3 pm Diet Coke. But I would be remiss not to mention Last Crumb cookies. I tried these back in 2024 and haven’t stopped recommending them. This brand of luxury cookies hits every mark. The flavors are varied, creative, and decadent enough to serve a few people at once. The packaging is out of this world, with fun messaging and creative descriptions for each flavor. Bonus: While they do have curated collections — including a very exciting Wuthering Heights collab — you also have the option to build your own box. Grab them as a treat for yourself or gift them for a birthday (or both). —Alessandra Rey ($90+, Last Crumb)

moisturizer
Kate McLeod

A moisturizer we use after shaving…

“I tend to be a loyalist when it comes to skincare, so I was hesitant to try out Kate McLeod’s body stone (aka, solid moisturizer) for the first time. I am SO glad I did. After interviewing the brand’s namesake, I learned that the majority of moisturizing creams are up to 90% water, not nourishing ingredients. Her Daily Stone is made with 100% plant-based ingredients (like cocoa butter concentrate) that work over time to deeply moisturize your skin. The stone glides much easier than I expected since it activates with your body’s natural heat. I’ve used it after every shave and there’s still so much left. If you’re looking for a mess-free moisturizer that really works, look no further. —Alessandra Rey ($48, Kate McLeod)

pajama-set
Nordstrom

A pajama set that elevates my evening routine…

“I wrote about this pajama set over the holidays because it literally changed my mind about pajama sets. I had been thinking about them all wrong — because while I still opt for a big T-shirt when I’m sleeping, there is no greater pleasure than pulling on these pajamas at night after I shower for my designated TV time. They are pricey, but they hold up when I wash them, and you can often find them on sale.” —Martha Upton (99.99+, Nordstrom)

scrunchies
Amazon

A set of silk scrunchies…

“I’ll be the first to admit that these are a little luxury, but they’re one I can only go so long without repurchasing. They keep my thick, wavy hair secure while I wash my face or in between wash days, and they never pull or crease. Plus, they look chic when I’m throwing my hair up quickly to grab a coffee or run a quick errand. They make a nice gift that someone wouldn’t normally spend on.” —Martha Upton (Unknown, Amazon)
