What I Tested…
Why I Tested…

How I Tested…
I used the Hyperice Venom 2 Back and Venom Go over the course of six weeks, utilizing the devices to aid in my post-workout recovery.

Test Results…
Venom 2 Back. I first discovered this belt while at my local stretch studio. I tried it there and immediately knew I wanted one. When it comes to relief provided, both devices performed above my expectations. For the Venom 2 Back, the massage and heat combo instantly soothes my muscles. For a deeper massage, I wear the device sitting down to apply pressure against it, causing the vibration to intensify. There are three heat levels, ranging from 113 degrees Fahrenheit to 131 degrees Fahrenheit. There are also three vibration patterns, but I prefer the first since it’s continuous stimulation. At times I suffer from lower back pain due to tight glutes, and this belt truly helps lessen my discomfort. I feel looser, warmer, and more relaxed after wearing it.
Venom Go. I love this device. You attach it to the provided sticky pads, and can then place it anywhere on your body. My upper traps can get tight since I work at a computer and hold a majority of my tension there, so I use this device mostly on my shoulders. It’s also viable to place it on a calf or thigh muscle. The device mimics the Venom 2 Back in that it has three vibration patterns and three heat levels. It’ll run for a predetermined amount of time, 15 to 20 minutes, and then shut off. Once it’s finished, you detach the device and place the cover back on the sticky pad. It’s a much more targeted version than the Venom 2 Back, but it’s highly portable and the battery lasts longer. If you’re not convinced, I enjoyed this device so much, I bought one for my mom’s birthday.

Sidenotes…
The Venom 2 Back can last up to three hours, but I found if used daily between myself and my boyfriend, I needed to charge it nightly. I found it charged very quickly.
The Venom Go doesn’t come with a carrying case, but one is available to purchase separately.
I found that the Venom Go sticks better to flatter surfaces, so my shoulder blade versus placing it vertically across my upper trap. If you’re trying to target that area, place it horizontally.
If you’re an athlete, or really anyone who is physically active and works out, this is a great addition to your recovery routine. I would equate the necessity of it to owning an effective therapy gun.
