Margaret had never really worked on a newsletter before she joined theSkimm, and now she is the SVP, Content & Comms, overseeing all editorial and multimedia content. She moved into her current role after serving for two years as theSkimm's Executive Editor, leading the editorial team.
Before coming to theSkimm, Margaret worked at BDG, where she oversaw major editorial initiatives, partnerships, brand extensions, and all digital issues across Bustle, Romper, Elite Daily, NYLON, and The Zoe Report. She also edited and wrote cover stories and features. Earlier in her tenure at BDG, she was the managing editor of both Romper, which she launched in 2015, and Bustle.
Previously, she was the founding editor of Huffington Post Women. She started her career as a features assistant at Vogue.
She earned her B.A. at Princeton, has an M.A. in Journalism from NYU, and has taught feature editing at NYU's School for Professional Studies.
Her interests outside of work include women's soccer, baked goods, and papal intrigue.
Originally from New Orleans, Margaret lives in Manhattan with her wife, four children, and a bossy, extremely handsome vizsla named Mars.
