EDITOR’S NOTE
Happy Sunday. I’m not going to lie, I’m already having major FOMO from the Cowboy Carter Tour. To distract myself this weekend, I’m planning to:
Search for this “it” Japanese cutting board (words I never thought I’d string together), which somehow makes chopping carrots look…chic?
Convince my husband that we 100% need these hand-painted One Hundred and One Dalmations-themed trench coats. (I’m not into matching looks, but I’ll make an exception for this.)
Wrestle with the fact that the most practical summer fashion trend is also the one I swore I’d never wear again.
Contemplate the “rich-girl scarf hack” that’s taking over NYC (and will instantly make you look like you’ve got your life together).
Follow Hailey Bieber and Anne Hathaway’s lead by “breaking summer’s biggest pedicure rule.” Great news for people who hate sitting in the chair (*raises hand*).

👀 Plot twist: The “modern day perm” is here — and it’s shockingly stylish?
💧 The latest status symbol? Drinking this bougie brand of water. Nope, not Topo Chico.
🙅♀️ The age of DIY filler has arrived. What a (scary) time to be alive.
😎 Forget layered chains. All the cool girls have apparently moved on to “collar necklaces,” which, thankfully, are less Bridgerton-inspired than they sound.
🩴 We regret to inform you that Lizzie McGuire-coded platform flip-flops are just one of the many questionable Y2K sandal trends making a comeback this season.

You don’t need to know a running back from a quarterback to know that Bill Belichick’s interview with CBS Sunday Morning was a major fumble. Things were already off to an awkward start (we’ll never say “correct” the same) — and then came the cringeworthy moment when the owner of eight Super Bowl rings and an astounding number of ratty sweatshirts was asked about how he met his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, who was off screen. Hudson, whom Belichick has described as his “idea mill and creative muse,” quickly shut down the question in a moment that launched endless memes, a John Mulaney spoof, and even a People deep dive on the 73-year-old’s dating history. Many wondered: Was the question really that off-limits? It doesn’t seem like it, considering it’s no secret the two met on a flight to Palm Beach, where Belichick signed her Deductive Logic textbook (what a beach read). Since then, the septuagenarian and his Gen-Z partner have practiced #Billates together (you have to see it to believe it), dressed as a fisherman and mermaid for Halloween, made friends with goats, and co-starred in a Dunkin’ Super Bowl commercial.
On Wednesday, in the wake of the interview drama — which had everyone from Charles Barkley to Belichick’s daughter-in-law weighing in — the ex–Patriots coach released a statement, accusing CBS of violating his request “to focus solely on the contents of the book” (which CBS disputed) and creating “a false narrative.” He also defended Hudson, saying she was “simply doing her job.” What is her job, you ask? It’s hard to say. After Belichick accepted the head coaching position at UNC, he asked that she be looped into all university work emails, according to The Athletic. She also reportedly played an “instrumental role” in tanking an HBO deal and is trying to trademark some of Belichick’s catchphrases. Oh, and when she’s not moonlighting as a one-woman PR team, the former college cheerleader is preparing for the 2025 Miss Maine USA competition, which starts Saturday. Just another chapter in the strangest offseason storyline in football.

All right everyone, gird your loins. Tomorrow is the first Monday in May — which means the Met Gala is upon us. Inspired by this year’s theme (“Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”), the dress code for 2025’s prom for fashion people is “Tailored for You,” which is…a bit obvious since almost all the Met Gala outfits are custom. But we digress. The evening will be hosted by, of course, Anna Wintour, along with honorary chair LeBron James and co-chairs Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and Colman Domingo, who we’re already declaring Best Dressed (don’t @ us). Ahead of the big night, we’re sharing the chaos, cameos, and couture we’re predicting (read: manifesting)...
🔮 After some very enthusiastic courtside PDA, Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner will make their red carpet debut. Plus, Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper will also arrive hand in hand (bonus points if Cooper’s “awfully good” cheesesteaks are served as late-night snacks).
🔮 Certified Alliums Hater Anna Wintour will ditch her usual uniform for a razor-sharp, menswear-inspired power suit.
🔮 Billy Porter and Rihanna will, as always, shut down the red carpet. Porter will outdo his legendary 2019 arrival — you know, the one featuring six shirtless men carrying him in, which even Vogue called “the Most Fabulous Entrance in Met Gala History.” And Rihanna will top that outrageously beaded, Pope-inspired dress. Sure, it’s a tall order, but if anyone can pull it off, it’s them.
🔮 Tyla will show up soaked. After last year’s viral dress made of sand, water is the natural next step. (Fingers crossed she doesn’t have to be lifted up the steps.)
🔮 Beyoncé will make a surprise appearance — despite just kicking off a global tour — flanked by Blue Ivy and Rumi Carter, all in coordinating cowgirl ‘fits. Yeehaw.

Shout out to 84-year-old Magali, whose reaction to eating chocolate for the first time in 40 days is, to put it mildly, iconic.

Take The White Lotus, subtract the deaths, lose the (sometimes) catchy theme song, add an earnest, feel-good touch — and you get The Four Seasons. The new Netflix comedy, based on the 1981 Alan Alda and Carol Burnett film, follows three couples — played by Tina Fey and Will Forte, Colman Domingo and Marco Calvani, and Steve Carell and Kerri Kenney-Silver — who vacation together four times a year (must be nice). But their tradition and friendship is threatened when Nick (Carell) announces that he’s leaving his wife (Kenney-Silver) and tries to bring his much younger girlfriend (Erika Henningsen) into the fold. Billed as a “love letter to all kinds of relationships,” the eight-episode miniseries is hilarious (a given), sneakily tender, and packed with awkward dinner parties, passive-aggressive pranks, and wine-fueled side-eye.

Caroline, Senior Commerce Editor, here. I’ll admit that I’m usually a sucker for luxury skincare. But in the wake of...recent world events, I’m being more intentional about how I spend my money — meaning, my holy grail moisturizer, Dieux’s Instant Angel, is taking a temporary backseat. Instead, I’m using the next best thing, which I firmly believe is this cream from Dr. Althea, a Korean skincare brand that’s gaining popularity stateside. The formula is loaded with hydrating ceramides, lipids, and hyaluronic acid, and the texture is rich (think: none of that flimsy, liquidy nonsense I personally loathe) yet still allows my skin to breathe. But the best part? The under-$30 price tag.
